Google I/O: Chrome Browser Improvements; Chrome and Google Drive for iOS; New Chromebooks

Google Thursday proclaimed improvements to its Chrome browser, improvements to Google Docs, and Chromium-plate and Google Drive away for iPhone and iPad, among other things on Day 2 of the Google I/O developer conference in San Francisco.

Google Drive Improvements

While nowadays's announcements paled in comparison to those rolled out in yesterday's generous show, a couple of of them will certainly be of interest to consumers.

Google Chrome browser mathematical product manager Brian Rakowski was connected stage to announce much new capabilities for developers.

He demonstrated how developers will now be able to easily build voice recognition into their Chrome apps. That will appropriate users to hand out commands to their apps without affecting touchscreens or typing.

The biggest announcment around Chrome, however, is the news that a version of the Chrome browser for the iPhone and the iPad will become available later today.

Chromebooks Get Faster

The Chromebooks that Google introduced last year were not well received, mainly because of their connection and storage limitations, and because of sluggish carrying into action. But the Google laptops have survived, and Google says the the new Chromebooks are threefold quicker than the original chromebooks.

The Cloud Gets Bigger

Google says that its cloud base is now so powerful and scalable that developers can hunt down their apps entirely in the cloud to as many users every bit they want "for a reasonable price."

This was demonstrated by showing the Google I/O kenote audience an only cloud-based gamed called Bulletstorm on a giant covert. The game ran really swimmingly in the demonstrate, and the graphics looked great; it looked a great deal like a back squirting on a gaming console.

Very Developer-Oriented Keynote

Unequal yesterday's announcements, the new features and services rolled out today (opposite than the Drive and Chrome apps announcements), seemed aimed at the developer crowd.
